Every sail. Every angle. Every delta.

Your edge.
Quantified.

SailEdge™ by SailrScience turns your ORC certificate into a digital twin powered by a full force-balance engine — 850,000+ physics evaluations, per-sail attribution, and whole-boat explainability across every sail, every wind speed, every angle. Your boat. Your data. Your decisions. In 2025, ORC issued over 14,000 certificates — the most in its history. Each one holds the data for a living digital twin.

For racers, sailmakers, and naval architects.

What’s under the hood

The engine between your certificate and your edge.

Your ORC certificate is the anchor. Every delta is computed from there.

Now with R16: stability and heel from the certificate alone. Every answer graded. No answer guessed.

The current physics release — R16 — carries a boat-integrated DSYHS hull backbone (52 Delft-series reference geometries, IGES-derived, matched to your certificate), then resolves appendage resistance, heel influence, sideforce/leeway, rudder interaction, and approved wave resistance where the boat data supports it. Drive that doesn’t survive the full force balance doesn’t reach the published speed.

CE is computed from actual sail planform geometry — not rig ratios. Each sail carries its own force decomposition: drive, side force, heel moment. Blanketing is real — the model accounts for it. Fly two sails and the engine force-weights them into combined balance.

The 3D view renders it live. Force vectors. CE markers. CLR. Heel. A physics instrument, not a picture of a boat.

The Edge Map distills it into one grid. Green where you’re faster. Red where you’re not. Tap a cell and the panel carries both per-sail attribution and whole-boat outcome, so a gain in drive can be weighed against heel, drag, wave lane status, and balance shift.

Built on ORC certificate data. Not affiliated with ORC. Not a rating predictor.

How it works

Upload your certificate. See your edge.

Start with your ORC certificate. SailEdge™ extracts your hull, rig, and sail inventory, builds your Digital Twin, and delivers your first Edge Map. Add cut sheets when you’re ready to go deeper.

Step 1

Upload

Your ORC certificate
and sail cut sheets
(if you have them)

Step 2

SailEdge Computes

Force-balance across every cell —
hull resistance, heel equilibrium,
per-sail aerodynamics

Step 3

You Explore

Forces, balance, heel, and speed
deltas across every condition

Pricing

One boat. One year. $99.

A SailEdge™ license is US $99 per boat, per year, plus applicable tax, charged through Stripe’s secure checkout. All sales are final — this license is non-refundable. It covers certificate upload and conversion, your saved boat and certificate, and every view the service offers to licensed accounts — governed analytics computed from the measured certificate data.

One boat per license

The license is bound to a boat at the first certificate you convert for it. A new certificate for the same boat stays covered; a different boat needs its own license.

One year, renew any time

The term runs one year from the date of purchase. Renew before or after it ends — a renewal extends that license’s term.

Try the demo first

The demo boats are open to everyone — no sign-in needed. Pick a boat, fly any sail, and see the physics first. License your boat when you’re ready to upload your own certificate.

Race day

Computed for your boat. Not a rule of thumb.

The chart on the coaming

You’ve seen the laminated crossover chart on someone’s coaming. That one was a rule of thumb for a class. Yours is computed — from your certificate, for your wardrobe. Every solve classified free, powered, or overpowered, and a plan that overpowers the boat never ranks.

Same boat, different Wednesday

You race with 7, the certificate rates 8. One click: green on the reaches, red upwind. Crew weight moves righting moment, and the whole map recomputes — the gains and the costs, both shown.
